So first thing, the new stuff – I want it to be a surprise but I will say it follows on from The Space Between Us. The new material is FIRMLY in the Electronica vein, faster and more upbeat. Im going to post a pre-mastered teaser song soon so watch this space or check the Facebook page for updates.

As for the Gig – This is a big one for me. When Kilo-C split up I turned into one of those elusive studio album artists, I was happy doing this especially with the more concept / experimental stuff but now the music is crying out to be played live so i’m going to go with my gut and get it out there.

Hey guys, Manpanics is still on a tour of Asia. After living in Thailand for two months he is currently in Bali. Traveling is definitely food for the imagination and meeting people, experiencing different ways of life and living each day is becoming a spiritual addiction.

I am currently preparing for my return to the stage, after six years and its going well. More to follow but for now let me quote the great Blues Musician Buddy Guy and say

Song for my friend Will

William Miller 1980 – 2012

Yesterday, whilst traveling around Thailand I was informed of the death of my close childhood friend and fellow musician William Miller. This is a guy who I grew up with, was in a band with, toured with. Thats the second time in my life I have lost a close friend who makes up a part of who I am today, the first being Steven Maher, another childhood friend and musician.

All I can say is cherish the times you spend with your friends and family because sometimes, without warning, their gone and there’s no room for regrets.

Months and months of work have finally paid off, I’m really happy with the album and I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I did writing it.

On the back cover you can see the track names for the first time and their order.

The cover was inspired by the last stop of my travels through New Zealand and the place where the album was completed – the wonderful, windy city of Wellington.

I’d also like to say thanks to the Te Papa Museum for providing an amazingly inspirational environment for me to work in on the final stages of the Album.

Im 9 songs in and I have to say im pleased with all of them. High Cut was the first single I released from the new album, a House/Electro mash up with a bit of Dubstep influence and it seems to be quite popular.
In the last few weeks I released the second single B Boy Image, a hark back to my early Drum & Bass days. I won’t be releasing any more singles so you will have to wait for the album to hear the rest but imagine Manpanics mashing up the bands mentioned earlier and you should be close.

P Town and i Man, being Dub albums, were for chilling out, lighting up, sitting back and nodding your head (thats what I was doing anyway) but The Space Between Us is alot different. This album is for getting up and dancing to. It feels good to be writing something more energetic.

Ill get back to writing the rest of this album and you can then tell me whether I did a good job or im and old 90′s Electro head stuck in a bygone time.
